Lucy (fka. Chicah)

It’s been four years since I met this quirky & independent nugget while volunteering at Heartland. From the moment I brought her home it was like we had always been together. Lucy (formerly Chicah) is a happy girl who loves long walks, belly rubs, sleepovers with doggy friends and cousins, chasing bunnies & squirrels and guarding the house against all evils that may be lurking outside. Best of all she has the prettiest smile ever (although one might be scared the first time they see it)! Thank you Heartland!

Yuki, Ernie (fka. Taco), and Tater Tot (fka. Albanee)

The first picture is all 3 of my Heartland sweeties. Baby girl Yuki (one of Betty Whites pups who just turned 8 months), Ernie (aka Taco that HAS saved from CACC) and Tater Tot (aka Albanee). They’re like the 3 Musketeers now, sometimes more like the 3 Stooges. The second picture is several months ago. It’s my entire doggy family enjoying the sunshine together on a beautiful Spring day. Notice who’s the center of attention?! As always, our lil princess Yuki!!!

I love to share and brag about my furry kiddos!

Cyde (fka. Clive)

Clyde, formerly known as Clive, was adopted from Heartland in February 2017 shortly after his human companions started volunteering there. 😉

He and his sister, Nessee, are best friends. They even look alike! People often stop us on the street asking if they are from the same litter. They enjoy playing together, eating puppaccinos and sleeping. Clyde also loves bathtime, long walks and runs throughout the neighborhood. And they are great older siblings to the newest addition to the family – a human brother named Aidan!

He loves giving hugs and kisses when he can tell you’re having a bad day which melts my heart every time. Clyde keeps us busy and makes us laugh, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Thank you Heartland for connecting us to Clyde! He truly is a special guy.

Homer

What can I say about this mush face sweetheart that I already haven’t said a million times over….Homer is just unexplainable. While volunteering, I saw this handsome face and knew I had to take home. 3 years later, he still makes me laugh everyday. His quirky head tilt, his gangly teeth, his confused look, how can I ask for anything more❤️I just love love love him

Jakob (fka. Euchre)

Hello , It has been one year since Jakob (Euchre) has been with me. It has had its challenges but they have definitely been worth it. He still is working on overcoming some fears but has come along way over the last year. He loves to sit out in the sun, go for walks, and he loves to rip the squeakers out of all his toys in record time. He is incredibly smart knows a few commands (Paw & other paw, high five, wait – which is not his favorite, leave it, sit, take, come and stay) and he absolutely LOVES to have his face and ears rubbed. He’s so playful. Everyday its fun to see him get more and more comfortable that he is really in his forever home.

Thank you Heartland for helping me find just the pup I needed

Janey, Fitz, Barney, Molly, & Tucker

Happy tail update on 4 Heartland alumni. Here is our pack performing a ritual we do many, many (too numerous to count) times a day – waiting for a treat after coming inside, lol.

My 2 are Janey (fka Squash, big black & white girl, adopted 2012) and Fitz (fka Smalls, leggy black boy, adopted 2017).

I also baby sit each of my 3 sons’ dogs, 2 of which are HAS alumni. Barney (fka Randee, one-eyed Llahsa mix, adopted 2011). Molly (fka the famous Betty White, cattle dog mix, adopted 2018), and Tucker, my son’s adorable min-pin doxie mix adopted in California 2015.

They’re all doing great and I’m lucky enough to be able to puppysit often. 🙂

Love Heartland!!
