Ziggy (fka. Walt)

It’s been almost six months now since I adopted Walt (now Ziggy), so I wanted to give an update on him. He has been absolutely amazing and I’m so lucky to have him in my life. He loves to take over my bed everyday lol, run around with his toys, and cuddle all day long. He is such a happy dog and I wanted to say thanks again for helping me find him❤️

Leroyy

I hope you are well and that you are able to connect lots of folks with magnificent companions like you did with me and “My Guy Leroyy”. Leroyy is such a sweet boy. He is so thankful that you gave him a second chance at life. (I am too!) He is a happy addition to my home. He has made my transition back to the area so much easier. I needed his company more than I realized. We have made many friends (canine and human) on our numerous walks and outings. It is heartwarming to see how happy he is when I return home from errands. He is playful, curious, and snuggly. And as you can see from the photo: cooperative . . .

I drove to visit with friends and family back in Vermont. He is a wonderful travel companion. Leroyy is happy to be a part of the adventure. He is very easy going and happy to meet new folks and see new sights.

I am so happy that I decided to adopt this very special boy!!!

Bob Loblaw

Dear Heartland, It’s been a little over a year since we adopted Bob and wanted to give you a quick update – he’s doing great and we adore him! He’s the sweetest, happiest cat imaginable. He loves getting hugs (he insists on them when we get home!) and sitting on our laps for snuggles. He also loves being brushed, hanging out with his cat sister, and sleeping anywhere soft and warm. We feel so lucky to have him and we’re thankful to Heartland for taking such good care of him and bringing him into our lives.

Best wishes,
Abby and Clark

Shawnee

We love when our seniors find a forever loving home! Shawnee was 13-years-old when she was adopted!

Shawnee is doing wonderful in her home! Her mom says she is very sweet! She likes to be brushed and she has enjoyed trying out every chair in the house. Shawnee was excited to explore the entire house almost right away! She likes to sleep in her cat bed every night. There have been no issues with her urinating outside of her litter box. Shawnee has made herself right at home!

Toney

Toney is a special dog who was at Heartland a few months before getting adopted. Gabe and his wife adopted Toney, now Milo, this spring and they say though they had some issues at first, with time and a couple of training sessions he is an amazing dog and they made the best decision to adopt him!

He loves riding in the car, going camping, and he is a great runner. His marathon-runner dad says a 10 mile run is nothing for Milo!

Adopt

When you adopt from a no-kill shelter, you save two lives. The animal you adopt and the one that replaces him.
