Pictures of Bryzzo (aka Hunterr) and his new friends. The black dog is his new older brother Fonzie. They like to snuggle together and watch for squirrels. The other tan dog was another rescue, Wrigley, who came to visit over the holidays. They were best buds. Bryzzo has been accepting other dogs into the house quite well.

Bryzzo seems happy here. He has a big back yard to run around in with Fonzie and snuggles on our laps at night. His curly tail is always wagging. He loves to play fetch and tug-o-war with his toys. He’s learning lots of tricks and commands. He is very smart and sweet.

Thank you Heartland for giving us the opportunity to take care of this sweet boy. We have recommended your shelter to many people. We were very impressed with your kind and caring staff. We know the animals there are well taken care of.

Leo (formerly Louey) is just wonderful! Still shy, fearful and retiring but beginning to come out of his shell. He still likes dogs better than people and is more relaxed with other dogs. He follows me EVERYWHERE I go in the house and gives me lots of hugs. He is warming up to Richard gradually and loves to cuddle with him on the couch. Taking a walk is a challenge as people, cars, trucks, garage doors, etc. are a problem but he has started to sniff and lift his leg as we walk which is real progress. When he has energy spurts, it is really fun to watch him run, leap and have a good time. Isn’t he handsome?!

Smokey (we changed his name) is doing great. He gets along with my two other cats and appears to be very happy in our home. He is extremely affectionate and very playful. Entertains himself all the time. He gained a little weight and his coat is shiny and lush. His tail even grew back thick. We could not be happier!
