Link (fka. Costello)

HI! Magaly and Kevin here giving an update on Costello (Link). Link has been with us for 4 months now and it is quite the adventure! Link is all settled in his home and his beagleness is definitely coming out so training is very important right now. He is more vocal now, mainly when he plays with other dogs. I believe it took me a month to hear his howl and almost two for Kevin! He has the funniest fog horn like howl that I hope to record soon to send to everyone at heartland, I know everyone who hears it cannot stop laughing! 🙂 He is such a sweetheart and we had a mini celebration for his first birthday. We got him a birthday cookie and it actually took him a while to really bite into it because he was unsure if he could haha We love him so much and are so blessed for his company. I’m really glad he is comfortable and happy with us, especially after seeing how much he loved seeing a heartland worker/volunteer. Thank you for everything you do!!

Yogi (fka. Rusty Jones)

I wanted to send an update on Yogi, formerly “Rusty Jones”. Yogi competed in his first Dock Diving competition today, and even though he had never done it before, he did great! We have worked hard on bonding and obedience work, and he showed his trust in me and tried his heart out. He didn’t jump very far, but it was enough for 2nd place, and I am so proud of him!

I also wanted to send you this article that mentions Yogi and his experience at the Dock Diving event
