Cleo (fka. Mallie)

Hello Heartland,

Just wanted to give you a little update on “Mallie” who I have now after careful consideration renamed to Cleo aka “Cleopatra” due to her obvious stance on being the queen of everything! 🙂 Cleo has adjusted better than I can image and I fall more in love with her everyday. Please see some adorable pictures of Cleo’s adventures in her new home attached!

Thanks 🙏🏻

Sarah

Dexter

Hi! This is Dexter! I used to be Dextur but my new mom couldn’t stand to leave the spelling the way it was so she had to change it! After 10 months at Heartland, I’m happy to be in a furever home. I am a total mama’s boy – I follow her around all the time and she’s the only one who can pick me up, but I’m getting better with the rest of my family. I have discovered that salami is a lot better than kibble and I love going in the car, especially if we are going to Lake Geneva – lots of good smells there! Thank you to all the nice people who took care of me at Heartland!

Bodhi

Saturday marked 1 year that I adopted Bodhi. I wanted you to know he’s well loved by all and thriving. We are blessed to have such a beautiful member of the family.
Sincerely,
Gregg

Mini

Mini is the best dog! She is a sweetheart and we are very lucky to be living with her. I look at the Heartland website every day hoping that Mini’s housemates have found their new forever home. We are not able at this time to be more than a one dog home. Otherwise I would have been begging my husband to adopt Mini’s housemates. Mini has gained two pounds since living here. Her fur seems to be fuller. Mini is loved very much. She sleeps with us at night and is rarely left alone. She proved the other day that she does not need to be crated when she Houdinied her way out of her crate and greeted us after we were away for 5 hours. Mini loved the young children that visited for a few days with their parents and grandparents not long ago. Mini barks as a greeting and invitation to play. I hope Mini’s housemates are adopted soon. I am sure they are sweet dogs too.

Slurpee (fka. Rocky Bear)

I adopted this little guy just about 4 years ago. His name was Rocky Bear. I renamed him Slurpee. He’s so smart and sweet! I taught him how to shake his head “yes” for treats. Because of course I’d never know if he wanted one otherwise. Lol Thanks for giving me my FURever Friend and blessing my life with his! He’s also the best at photo bombing, but there’s no way he can hide with those ears! LOL

Rambo (fka. Micah)

Hi, We are adjusting to Micah (aka Rambo) very well and he is adjusting to us as well. He is a very intelligent little fellow and catches on very quickly. He still has a lot of puppy in him and we call him Rambo because of some of his antics.

One very funny habit he has is that at approximately 8 pm in the evening he wags his tail and goes to bed. We don’t make him do this, it is his idea. We have never had a dog do this before. Needless to say, we are enjoying Rambo very much.

Thank you and best wishes,

Ray

When you adopt from a no-kill shelter, you save two lives. The animal you adopt and the one that replaces him.
