Shelter Veterinarian
The Shelter Veterinarian will direct the small medical team to establish best practices in shelter medicine and High Quality, High Volume (HQHV) surgical practices. Working in collaboration with our senior staff, establishes appropriate veterinary policies for all shelter operations. Adheres to the highest ethical standards and ensures that veterinary care is provided in a safe, competent, professional, and humane manner. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shelter medicine program, including herd management and HQHV spay/neuter.
Marketing and Fundraising Events Manager
Heartland Animal Shelter is seeking a dynamic, organized, and creative Marketing & Fundraising Events Manager to join our dedicated team. This individual will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing, event, and other fundraising initiatives that support the organization’s mission and goals. This manager also will oversee the development of high-quality cross-channel content to attract and engage donors, volunteers, adopters, and other constituents.
Mission Advancement Associate
Heartland Animal Shelter is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mission Advancement Associate to support the Mission Advancement team by ensuring accurate and timely recording of donor contributions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining donor data integrity, processing gifts, and ensuring proper donor acknowledgment. This position will also be responsible for drafting grant proposals, grant submission, reporting and data tracking.
Animal Care Attendant
The Animal Care Attendants are responsible for general upkeep of the shelter in addition to ensuring basic care of the animals which includes appropriate housing, access to food and clean water, cleanliness of living spaces, and their physical, emotional, and mental needs. We are looking for those interested in working with both cats and dogs.
