Celebrate Mother’s Day by Giving Rescued Lab Beagles a Second Chance

This weekend, you can celebrate a mother in your life by giving a second chance at life to some very resilient mama dogs.

On Wednesday, Heartland took part in a historic rescue, welcoming six female Beagles into our care. These “mama beagles” were rescued from a breeding and biomedical research facility in Wisconsin, which agreed to release 1,500 dogs to avoid prosecution after years of public pressure from animal rights activists.

For years, these dogs were treated as nothing more than biological tools. Today, thanks to supporters like you, they are finally learning what it feels like to be a beloved companion. By donating to Heartland in honor of your own mother, dog mom, wife, sister, or friend, you are directly providing the medical care, rehabilitation, and love these six survivors need to heal.
