This holiday season, as winter reminds us of the precious lives fighting for a second chance, your support means more than ever. Every day this winter, frightened cats and dogs will be arriving at Heartland’s doors–cold, sick, and alone. With your gift, we can change their story. You can transform their fear into comfort, pain into healing, and loneliness into love.
Join us for Giving Tuesday on December 2, 2025, for one of the most important times of the year for Heartland’s animals.
All pre-Holiday gifts received by November 30th will be counted toward our match amount, which Heartland will use to inspire others to give. Anyone who gives $500 or more by November 30th will be recognized during Heartland’s Facebook Live stream on Giving Tuesday!
Join us on Facebook Live for “behind the scenes” videos starting at 10 a.m. There are many places you could support, and we want to show you how we put your money to work.
This year, like so many before, frightened, fragile cats and dogs arrived at our doors fighting for their lives. Priscilla and Phish are just two of nearly 1,400 animals we’re on track to save in 2025. But stories like theirs come at a cost—specialized surgeries, emergency care, and weeks of treatment. Your generosity this season empowers us to say “yes” to the next animal in crisis.
This scrappy alley kitten was rescued after his family disappeared. Found dragging a twisted leg, infested with fleas, and battling infection, Phish needed urgent care. After treating parasites, repairing a hernia, neutering him, and amputating his leg, we held our breath—would this tiny kitten pull through? Remarkably, Phish learned to sprint on three legs within days. Now adopted into a caring home with a senior cat brother, he’s thriving—full of mischief and joy.
